Do you ever have problems with procrastination?

You have great intentions, but for some reason you just don’t get around to getting started.

Is there something in your life that you’ve really been wanting to do ….  maybe something you have been dreaming about?

Maybe completing a project or perhaps taking a class, or planning that dream vacation.

But …. you keep putting it off because you’re a little intimidated by the thought of jumping in and getting started.

Well … I want to encourage you to get started!

Listen to this Bible verse:

Zechariah 4:10a (NLT)

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.

That verse encourages us to get started …. to take some small steps to begin moving in the direction of our dreams.

A while back I heard someone say … “Sometimes you just have to jump and build your wings on the way down.”

Very often … we get focused on the end result and it’s overwhelming … so we don’t get started.

I once heard a motivational speaker say this …

How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time!

So let me encourage you to get started today …. make a plan … set some goals …. break them down into bite-sized pieces and take one bite at a time.

Before you know it …. you will be on the way to realizing your dreams!

So don’t wait … Take a small step today and get started!

  • Thank you Pastor. Sometimes the start of a task is harder then the actual task. Sometimes we just need a kickstarter.
